There are generally two options for submitting one's immigration medical exam results (Form I-693, officially called the “Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record”):
- Applicants include the exam in their application package when they file
- Applicants postpone their medical exam until after they've submitted their marriage green card application to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and then bring the results with them to the green card interview, which occurs at the last stage of the application process.
In both cases, USCIS requires that marriage green card applicants complete the medical exam and that Form I-693 is signed by the civil surgeon before the date of the green card interview. If an applicant does not complete the medical exam prior to the green card interview, their application may be delayed or even denied.
